When Death Chests are active, dying stores eligible dropped items in a temporary chest instead of leaving them loose on the ground.
Recovering items
- Return to the death location.
- Find the chest and its identifying display.
- Right-click the chest.
- Move your items back into your inventory.
The chest may expire, so recover it as soon as possible. Storage behavior can differ in protected regions, special worlds, PvP modes, or dungeons.
Teleporting to your chest
If the teleport option is enabled for your current server and world, the death message or chest interface will provide the available action. Cooldowns, costs, or world restrictions may apply.
If you cannot find it
- Check the coordinates shown when you died.
- Confirm you returned to the correct world.
- Look for a hologram or particle effect.
- Make sure the chest has not expired.
- Contact staff promptly if a reproducible server error prevented recovery.
Staff cannot guarantee replacement of items lost through normal gameplay or an expired chest.
